Founder and CEO, OryonTech
Mayokun Saliu
Mayokun Saliu solves the same problem everywhere he goes: AI is deployed but not producing results. The gap is almost never the model. It is the missing operational layer between "we shipped it" and "we can see it working".
Over nearly a decade in operations and program leadership, including AI programs at Microsoft, Meta and MongoDB, he has worked across the full AI lifecycle: building AI solutions, evaluating and governing them before launch, and putting them to work with the measurement that shows a return on the investment. That includes running quality for a 2,000-person human-in-the-loop AI data operation, leading safety evaluation of large language models before launch, and building the measurement that showed which AI automations actually changed how teams worked.
He founded OryonTech on one thesis: AI adoption in emerging markets will be messaging-first, not app-first. OryonTech gives small and growing African businesses AI agents that work on WhatsApp, where their customers already are, answering questions, taking orders, booking appointments and collecting payments. As CEO, he sets the product direction, architecture and go-to-market, and leads the team that builds and delivers the agents.
The thread across all of it: AI is a trust problem. Whether it is a safety team trusting evaluation coverage or a Lagos shop owner trusting an AI agent to talk to their customers, he builds the systems that earn that trust at scale.
